The National Museum of the U.S. Air Force

The National Museum of the United States Air Force collects, researches, conserves, interprets and presents the Air Force’s history, heritage and traditions, as well as today’s mission to fly, fight and win … in Air, Space and Cyberspace to a global audience through engaging exhibits, educational outreach, special programs, and the stewardship of the national historic collection. These statutory duties delegated by the Secretary of the Air Force are accomplished on behalf of the American people. We are the keepers of their stories.

Fort Ancient Earthworks & Nature Preserve

Fort Ancient is one of 58 historic sites and museums of the Ohio History Connection, a nonprofit organization that serves as the state’s partner in preserving and interpreting Ohio’s history, natural history, and archaeology.

Cowan Lake Sailing Club

Cowan Lake Sailing Association (CLSA) was established in 1954 by a group of people with a common interest; promoting the sport of sailing. Located on 700 acre Cowan Lake, CLSA now has about 132 member families and 12 recognized fleets and more than 250 boats owned by the membership. In addition to promoting the sport of sailing, Cowan Lake Sailing Association’s charter includes cooperating with the State of Ohio in maintaining adequate sailing facilities and helping to insure safety among all users of Cowan Lake.

Cowan State Park

Swimming, fishing, sailing and kayaking are popular at the lake. Meandering trails through mature woodlands complement Cowan Lake’s natural features. A variety of trillium and an abundance of other wildflowers can be seen from the hiking trails in the spring. In late spring/early summer, the aquatic American lotus are in bloom on the lake.
